Watch the Introduction
4 minutes · How the Work Licence program worksBefore you proceed
Are you eligible for a Queensland work licence?
The program walks you through a full eligibility check. Here are the key criteria under Section 87 TORUM.
BAC under 0.15
You must have been reading below 0.15 BAC at the time of your offence. High-range readings (0.15+) generally exclude work licence eligibility on a first offence.
Hold an open (full) licence
You must currently hold an open Queensland licence. Provisional (P) licence holders are generally not eligible for a work licence under Section 87.
Genuine work driving need
You must genuinely need to drive as a necessary part of your employment — not just for commuting. An employer affidavit confirming this is required.
Prior driving history
Prior drink driving convictions may affect eligibility. The court has discretion. The program covers how your history affects your application.
Drug driving charges
Work licences are available for some drug driving charges, but eligibility depends on the specific offence. The eligibility check in the program covers this.
Not in a prescribed class
Certain offence categories and circumstances automatically exclude you. The program identifies these exclusions clearly during the eligibility check.
Not sure if you're eligible? The program starts with a full eligibility check before you go any further. If you're not eligible, the program tells you clearly — and your QLD Plea preparation continues regardless. If you're unsure about your specific circumstances, seek independent legal advice from a qualified Queensland lawyer.

The hardest part — made easier
AI-powered affidavit builder
Your affidavits are the most important documents in a work licence application. Here's how the builder works.
Applicant Affidavit
Your personal affidavit sets out your employment circumstances, why your licence is genuinely necessary for your work, the impact of disqualification, and your personal background.
- Generated from your 16-step onboarding answers
- Formatted in Arial 12pt as required
- Unanswered questions automatically omitted
- Editable draft — you review before use
Employer Affidavit
Your employer's affidavit confirms the genuine work driving requirement. The program generates a draft your employer can review, customise, and sign.
- Generated from employer details in your onboarding
- Correctly sets out the work driving requirement
- Ready for your employer to review and sign
- Formatted to court requirements
How the AI builder works
Your answers become your affidavits
After completing your 16-step onboarding, the AI builder uses your answers to generate structured, court-formatted drafts of both affidavits. You review and edit each section before printing. The builder produces drafts only — you are responsible for accuracy and truthfulness.
The process
From charged to court-ready in 4 steps
Check your eligibility
The program starts with a full work licence eligibility check. If you qualify, you proceed. If not, the plea preparation continues — nothing is wasted.
Complete 16-step onboarding
Answer detailed questions about your employment, employer, work driving needs, and personal circumstances. This powers both your affidavits and your plea submissions.
Generate your affidavits & submissions
The AI builder produces drafts of your applicant affidavit, employer affidavit, oral submission, and written submission — all personalised to your answers.
Walk into court fully prepared
You have your affidavits, your plea submissions, your checklist complete, your references ready, and a clear picture of what will happen on the day.
